Strathcona Resources – Community Investment Donation Request Form

Strathcona Resources is committed to being a strong, positive partner in the areas in which we operate. Through investment in these communities, our goal is to reduce or eliminate barriers and contribute to the greater good of the community through three priority giving areas:

Sport & Performing Arts

Remove barriers to participation in sports and performing arts and promote healthy living / active lifestyle.

Education

Provides access to further learning opportunities and supports literacy initiatives.

Community

Responds to needs specific to local operation areas that reduce barriers and strengthen communities.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to receive funding, applicant organizations must:

Be a charitable, non-profit and/or community group
Match Strathcona’s goals of eliminating/reducing barriers and contributing to the community in a positive manner
Align with Strathcona’s priority giving areas of sport & performing arts, education and community
Benefit a community or communities that are in close proximity to Strathcona’s operations

Funding will not be provided to:

Faith-based organizations, unless contributing a social service not provided by other organizations in the community (I.e., food banks)
Political organizations
For-profit organizations
Debt-reduction campaigns
Private clubs funded through membership fees
Individual sports teams
Capital expenditures

If your organization/program meets the above eligibility requirements, please fill out the
following form to request a donation.

Requests are reviewed monthly by our local committees. It may take up to six weeks to hear
back about your request. All requesting organizations will be contacted regarding the status of
their application once the committee has made their decision. Please direct any questions to
