Strathcona hosted its 5th Annual Charity Golf Tournament on August 15th, and is thrilled to announce another year of incredible success. Under clear blue skies at Heritage Pointe Golf Course, employees, sponsors and vendors came together to enjoy the tailgate BBQ, contests, dinner banquet, silent auction, and of course, golfing!
This year, a record-breaking $250,000 was collectively raised for Strathcona’s non-profit partners; motionball and Inside Education.
“Thank you to everyone involved in making this year’s tournament a phenomenal success,” says Dale Babiak, Chief Operating Officer. “We are proud to provide support to these two very important organizations, and it couldn’t have been done without the support of our employees, volunteers, vendors and sponsors.”

motionball empowers young Canadians to be community leaders and raises awareness for Special Olympics Canada through initiatives such as the “Marathon of Sport”, which Strathcona employees participate in every summer.

Inside Education
Inside Education focuses on bringing environmental and natural resources education to life for students and teachers.
Their “Energy Innovation Days” bring groups of students on no-cost field trips to tour local energy initiatives and technology in their community. Through Strathcona’s partnership with Inside Education, Grade 9 students from the Cold Lake/Bonnyville area had the opportunity to explore and learn about the inner workings of our Lindbergh asset in 2024.
