Meota Central

Meota Central is one of Strathcona’s most significant development projects and one of the largest SAGD oil facilities in Saskatchewan. Located near Strathcona’s existing Meota operations, the 12,000-barrel-per-day central processing facility uses SAGD technology to recover heavy oil from deep underground. Completed ahead of schedule and under budget, Meota Central is a testament to the dedication, expertise and collaboration of the teams who brought the project to life, while reinforcing Strathcona’s commitment to safe, efficient and responsible energy development.
