Strathcona’s sixth annual fun money casino and poker event was another outstanding success, raising over $135,000 for the Lionheart Foundation in support of specialized mental health treatment for Calgary youth.
Employees, sponsors and vendors gathered at the Calgary Petroleum Club to play poker and casino games for a cause, breaking our previous year’s fundraising record once again.
“The success of this event is truly a team effort,” shares Scott Seipert, Strathcona’s SVP, Finance. “Thank you to everyone who participated and helped raise funds for this important cause. Your contributions continue to make a meaningful impact on the youth in our community.”
Lionheart is an organization that works to improve access to mental health supports for children and adolescents experiencing anxiety-based challenges. 100 per cent of the funds raised go toward subsidizing therapy costs for financially disadvantaged youth in Calgary and the surrounding area.
This year, one of Lionheart’s clients, Tyler, shared with us the story of his battle with depression, and the role Lionheart played in turning his life around.
Strathcona is proud to support community partners like Lionheart. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the 2026 Casino & Poker Night a record-breaking event.
